The Northern Joe Cup once again returns to Cheetham Hill Squash Club this month, with the addition of Fairways Lodge.

The event, in its second year, raises money for the Brain Tumour Charity in honour of Joe Rawcliffe, son and brother of the Rawcliffe family. The event this year raised over £6k for the charity and continues to build awareness for this great cause.

Continuing on it’s trend from last year it prooved to be a great event for the local players. Saran Nghiem headlined taking home her first PSA Challenger Tour title beating Torrie Malik in a spectacular 5 game thriller.

She was joined in her success with other THE CLUB players Finnlay Withington and Lowri Roberts, to name just two, who both shone in the earlier rounds.

Around the event there were hugely levels of activity from junior camps, adult graded and team events, and coaching clinics, showing what is possible around an event of this level.

Well done to all the team involved in running this spectatular event.
