Tuesday 11/10/2022 is 1st team squash night!
First up Zac v Matt Turner: Zac got off to a slow start, something about just jetting in from Thailand! Not much sympathy around I’m afraid. Matt took the first one 12-10 after a few mistakes from
Zac and continued in the same vein in the second, again taking it in a tie break. Zac
hit back in the third and won it comfortably. Was there a comeback in the offing? In
the fourth Matt again got in front and this time there was no stopping him as he won
the game and the match. Score: 12/10 13/11 4/11 11/7.

Carlton was on Court 2 against Mike MacDonald and looked very comfortable the
whole match, even throwing in a couple of super backhand nicks, has he been
practising? An easy run out for Carlton who is looking better this season, great stuff.
Score: 11/2 11/5 11/7.

Back on Court 1 Danny was warming up against Sam Shuttleworth. Sam was in his
usual big hitting form and stretched Danny with his pace but Danny slowly settled
down and used his front court game to frustrate Sam. He continued to do the same
in the second game. In the third, it looked to be heading Sam’s way but Danny got
back on song and ran out a winner. Score 11/6 11/6 11/9.

On Court two Stephen was playing Tim Herron. Stephen started off well and kept
playing well. Tim was never in it as Stephen sealed the deal 3-0 in double quick time.
Score: 11/3 11/5 11/2. So the tie was for CHSC.

Last up on court 1 was Josh against Julian Tomlinson. You know exactly what to
expect from Julian, a fast-paced match and so it proved. Julian used his pace to
keep the ball in play and keep Josh honest but Josh was always in control and used
his long drops to good effect, that and a couple of taxis and super low boasts won
the day for Coach Josh. Score: 11/6 11/9 11/9.
