It’s Tuesday night, Div one squash night. A full house was really looking forward to this one, CHSC back in Division 1.

Court one, the crowd behind her Low was first up at number 5 against Garth and the pace was fast. Low went one down but got her length going and her movement. She was too strong and decisive in the big points and finished on a high note with a 13-11 and 12-10 game finish. Great start.

Next up on court one was Carlton. He was number 2 and up against George and he got off to a good start and just dominated his opponent and ran out an easy winner, 3-0. No problem, CHSC two up and cruising!

Danny started on court two against Max, a very quick opponent and it was nip and tuck. Danny took a racket in the face which required a stoppage for a blood injury but Danny came firing back and took the match in the fifth, 11-9. A gritty performance from the “Bray Dog.”

Meanwhile back on court one Josh was having a real battle with Ali, lots of contentious decisions, a real stop, start match. Not the free-flowing squash Mr. Taylor likes to play but he battled on, but went down 1-3.

Court two was the setting for Stephen V Jules. A quick match with lots of movement around the front of the court, tight drops and clinging lengths. A very good match to watch. Stephen ran out a 3-1 winner.

So the match concluded with a 4-1 victory for the team, a lovely 18 points to get the season off to a rocking start!!

All in all an excellent night at the club, the squash was good, the support bob on as was the food and drink. The first of many great nights of squash at the club, so come on down and get behind the team. And don’t forget, this Thursday we have more NWCS at the club from 7:15 so come along and enjoy the squash and soak up the atmosphere.
